This growing global company seeks a relationship focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines to join its team. As Surety Broker, you will negotiate competitive terms and pricing for existing and new clients. The ideal candidate for this position will lead by example and emphasize the importance of best practices.
What you will do:
* Broker surety programs for all clients, including financial and character analyses, submission compilations, and strategy development
* Manage existing surety programs and update account executives on new products, coverages and market trends
* Prepare proposals for surety renewals by analyzing desired risk exposure and coverage and renew existing accounts accurately and promptly
* Create and deliver industry-related presentations to current and prospective clients
* Manage correspondence and reports, ensuring all doc umentation is accurate and complete
* Maintain strong relationships with the underwriting community to guarantee maximum benefit to clients
* Coordinate technical and support staff to deliver seamless service to the client
Must haves:
* 1 to 3 years broking experience, with strong knowledge of accounting
* Collaborative work style, with drive to work independently when required
* Exceptional communication, presentation and organization skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
* Commitment to ongoing learning and willingness to participate in professional development as required
* Post-secondary degree or equivalent an asset
