Safety Officer - 4 Month Contract

Safety Officer - 4 Month Contract - 40 Hours per week   Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is seeking a Temporary Site Safety Officer for the Winnipeg area. The successful candidate should have experience in the coordination of safety activities in a construction environment and knowledge of all safety related provincial and company regulations and codes and policies. The ideal candidate will be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays. The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems in consultation with those involved, is essential. The Safety Officer/First Aid Attendant must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including staff, management personnel and Sub-trades. This person must be energetic, confident self-starters, with a strong work ethic. Requirements:

Demonstrated working knowledge of provincial safety codes/regulations
Willingness to travel
Must have minimum Standard Level First Aid
Grade 12 or equivalent
Good computer skills
Construction industry experience
Excellent communications skills
