Registered Nurse II Full-time (1.0 EFT)

Department:  Emergency/SCU                                           Salary:  $28.074 to $33.097 per hour Shift:  12-Hour Day/Night Qualifications and Technical Competencies: ·         Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba;·         Current BCLS;·         Demonstrated leadership skills;·         Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development;·         Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a health care team member and independently;·         Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;·         Self directed, adaptable and innovative;·         Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position;·         Demonstrated commitment to providing quality customer service;·         Must be able to communicate effectively in English;·         Previous SCU and/or emergency experience  (minimum six months previous experience essential);·         Preference will be given to applicants who meet the above position requirements and who have also successfully completed ACLS training and a critical care course;·         Ability to attain unit specific nursing technical competencies as per job description;·         Ability to incorporate BRHA core competencies into working practice (Customer/Client Focused, Initiative & Pro-activity, Diversity Awareness, Teamwork and Collaboration, Development of Self and Others, and Adaptability);·         Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record including attendance at work. Current salary and benefits according to the MNU collective agreement.
