The Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) is the self-government representative that promotes the political, social, cultural, and economic interests and rights of the Metis Nation’s Manitoba Metis Community. In addition, the MMF delivers programs and services to our community including: child and family services; justice; housing; youth; education; human resources; economic development and natural resources.
The MMF Tripartite Self-Negotiations (TSN) Department seeks to fill one full-time Policy Analyst position located at the Winnipeg Home Office.
POLICY ANALYST
Reporting to the TSN Director the Policy Analyst is responsible for researching opportunities and potential prospects that will increase the control and participation of the Metis people over the issues, programs and decisions that affect their lives and to develop the capacity of Metis people to identify their own interest and solutions for building healthy and sustainable communities. The Policy Analyst will also monitor data, analyze information and prepare reports to ensure the successful continuance of the department’s targets and purpose. There will be an emphasis on supporting developments in Provincial Education particularly around Metis Education Policy.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of Manitoba’s Public Educational System
