Public Health Nurse 1V Full-time Wabowden, MB

Department:  Public Health                                                                            Salary:  $32.219 - $40.363 per hour Qualifications and Technical Competencies: ·          Baccalaureate Nursing Degree.·          Current College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Registration.·          Minimum 2 years recent community health/public health nursing experience with emphasis on health protection/illness prevention, health promotion and community development.·          Maintains clinical skills required for the delivery of Public Health Nursing services as per the practice standards for the specific areas, programs, and services.·          Has expertise in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with a broad range of individuals and partner organizations.·          Demonstrated ability to work alone and as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.·          Demonstrated ability to foster an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that supports quality, client interaction and interventions.·          Excellent organizational, communication, client interaction, interventions, and interpersonal skills.·          Self directed, adaptable and innovative.·          Is culturally competent and respectful of diversity (e.g., economic and social status, race, cultures, belief systems, sexuality).·          Knowledge and respect of Aboriginal Culture and experience in working effectively with First Nations people.·          Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher and various databases.·          Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 5 drivers’ license.·          Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position.·          Evidence of professional development experiences that are consistent with current public health practice, new and emerging issues, changing needs of the population, evolving impact of the determinants of health and emerging research.·          Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record including attendance at work.·          Ability to incorporate BRHA core competencies into working practice (Customer/Client Focused, Initiative & Pro-activity, Diversity Awareness, Teamwork and Collaboration, Development of Self and Others, and Adaptability).
