Director of Operations

On behalf of our client IJACK Technologies, we are recruiting a Director of Operations, located in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. IJACK Technologies is changing the landscape of the oil and gas industry by introducing innovative and advanced products and solutions designed to improve efficiency and increase production while offering unprecedented control. Its hydraulic based lift technology is designed to increase efficiency, enhance production and offer more control and precision.

 

Reporting to the President, the Director of Operations is responsible for planning and directing the day-to-day operations to improve productivity and efficiency through effective methods and strategies. The Director of Operations will ensure and improve the performance, efficiency and profitability of company operations while maintaining the integrity and overall quality of products and procedures in delivering cost-effective and value-added solutions to their customers.

 

This position will appeal to a seasoned, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial work environment. The Director of Operations will be an experienced financial leader who understands what it means to roll up their sleeves and take a new and fast-growing organization to the next level. The Director of Operations will have a proven track record as a hands-on professional proficient in developing and implementing production best practices and procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all production projects are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements
  • Plan, implement and control production job schedules and review and adjust the schedule where needed
  • Oversee scheduled production, accompanying reporting, and tasks of all related personnel
  • Determine and manage the human resources and material resources required to meet production targets
  • Implement standard operating procedures for production operations and ensure that they are adhered to
  • Manage annual budget, including periodic assessments and forecasts of company’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals
  • Estimate, set and manage production costs and implement cost control programs
  • Ensure implementation and strict adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives, including detection and correction of problems and traceability of all products
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process and prepare and maintain production reports
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination with all areas of the organization

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business management, engineering, industrial technology or equivalent experience
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in operations leadership in manufacturing
  • Experienced in best practices in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, quality systems and standards, process improvement techniques and health and safety standards and compliance
  • Able to work independently and work effectively in a team environment
  • Well-developed communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills and administrative skills with extensive experience with Microsoft Office Software
