Retail Sales Manager - Banking

Our client is a highly diversified North American financial services organization providing a broad range of retail banking, wealth management and investment banking products and solutions. They provide integrated wealth management services in Canada and the United States. 

 

Reporting to the Divisional Director, the Retail Sales Manager provides leadership, direction and specialized knowledge to multiple distribution channels for their retail investments division within the Prairie Central Region, which is comprised of 65 branches in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario.

 

You will provide strategic direction, business planning and sales support within distribution channels: retail branch network, Commercial Banking, and private banking offices. 

 

Other key responsibilities include:Coordinate sales activities to support local planning efforts and long-term managed solutions sales (mutual fund & term products)

Coordinate the implementation of national sales plans and implementation of sales promotional initiatives

Partners with P&C senior management in strategic implementation and planning of activities to drive sales of Retail Investments

Coordinates activities and shared learning throughout Distribution Channels including best practice and marketing strategies

Prepares, monitors and controls assigned travel and entertainment budgets to support sales activities

Provides regular updates on RI strategies, priorities, targets, performance standards, marketing plans and accomplishments

 

As the ideal candidate, you are a strong wealth management resource with an aptitude for working with Financial Planners across a large region to ensure they have the most up to date product information and the necessary tools to provide exceptional client services and drive results.

Extensive travel is required throughout the region.

 

Qualifications:University degree is essential, postgraduate degree is desirable

In-depth knowledge of investment products, markets & sales strategies

In-depth knowledge of bank products, services and banking group interrelationships

Valid driver’s license
