Regional Business & Operations Manager

Broadstreet Properties Ltd., a leading provider of multi-family housing throughout Western Canada requires a Regional Business and Operations Manager. The Regional Business and Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate preparation of annual operating budgets, monitor and make recommendations on budget performance and prepares quarterly summary reports as well as review and approve expenditures within specified budgetary guidelines. The Regional Business and Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the day to day site operations are conducted in an efficient, effective manner as well ensuring that the sites are staffed with trained individuals, the units are well maintained with zero deferred deficiencies and that the tenants are happy living in a well maintained, professionally managed Broadstreet Property.


The Regional Business and Operations Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of hiring, training, motivating, disciplining and terminating staff for the region.
  • Establishes and coordinate a communication system involving transaction and activities among Property Managers and the Central Office.
  • A solid understanding and a high level of expertise in the interpretation of the Provincial Residential Tenancies Act, Public Health Act, Municipal Act, Town or City Bylaws, Fire Department Codes, Building Codes and Provincial Labour Standards. 
  • Inspects the properties to ensure the highest standards are maintained; evaluates maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping operations in areas of efficiency.  Conducts periodic inspection of vacant apartments for market-ready condition.
  • Adhering to site budget to ensure Profit and Loss goals are met.
  • Coordinates staffing and office set-up of new communities according to Company guidelines.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven record of successful organizational management
  • Knowledge of property maintenance, property marketing, and insurance
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Strong supervisory, personnel management and organizational skills
  • Strong organizational analysis and business skills


Credentials and Experience:

  • Undergraduate in Business or Commerce an asset.
  • Five years’ experience in operational management or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Property Manager Designation an asset.
