As the Assistant Shop Foreman you will help develop a team of experience mechanics and provide superior technical service ensuring your clients’ needs are met.
The Role:
·Assist in providing leadership and guidance to a team of Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics as well as organize and schedule their workloads;
·Develop quotes for customers and support their service needs;
·Manage the training, safety, productivity and Quality Assurance/Control of the Truck Shop Technicians;
·Create repair plans; and
·Manage the productivity, efficiency and qualifications of Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics.
You and Your Experience:
·First and foremost you hold quality and service to your customers as a priority;
·You are a Red Seal Certified Technician;
·You are experienced with the technical aspects of engines and heavy equipment;
·You love to learn and always look for opportunities to do so;
·You have strong planning, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities;
·You are a people person, you love working with others, sharing your knowledge and are easy to approach;
·Excellent knowledge with computers and Microsoft office suite;
·You are an excellent communicator and have the proven leadership experience needed to guide and mentor a team; and
·You have a high aptitude for anything technical or mechanical.
