Department: Burntwood Regional Diabetes Program                                      Salary:  $24.57 to $32.91 per hour The position will require travel and work schedules including weekends and evenings. Qualifications and Technical Competencies:·         Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition or Food Science.·         Completion of a Dietitians of Canada Accredited Dietetic Internship Program.·         Registration with the provincial regulatory body as a Registered Dietitian ·         To be an active Certified Diabetes Educator or to become a Certified Diabetes Educator within two years of employment in the BRDP.·         Minimum of two years related work experience is preferred.·         Have expertise in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with a broad range of individuals and partner organizations.·         Demonstrated ability to work alone and as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.·         Demonstrated ability to foster an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that supports quality, patient care/quality improvement and am empowered practice model.·         Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.·         Knowledge and respect of Aboriginal Culture and experience in working effectively with First Nations people.·         Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, and various databases.·         Have a valid driver’s license.·         Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position.·         Evidence of professional development and continuing education. The ability to speak a First Nations language would be an asset. Current salary and benefits according to the MAHCP collective agreement.
