Position: Technical Engineer
This position will play an important and demanding role in implementing Hippo FM. The chosen candidate will report to the Senior Account Manager but will also work under the daily direction of the Assistant Director of the each Facility he/she will be auditing.
The job function will include but not be limited to the following tasks;
Perform a complete inventory of all facility-related equipment and systems. This task shall include the completion of a detailed inventory worksheet (equipment name, type, serial number, model number, equipment specifications, physical location, etc.) for each piece of equipment. Search for and organize literature related to the maintenance and inspection of each piece of equipment identified. This would include a review of existing maintenance manuals and where none exist on site, a thorough search of manufacturers' data via telephone, internet, etc. Develop detailed maintenance schedules (including specific tasks, tools and replacement parts required, and safety reminders) for all equipment, based on manufacturers' recommended guidelines. Receive approval from the Assistant Director for the maintenance schedules developed. Input all data collected into Hippo FM Maintenance Manager Software. Verify system functions as per Hippo FM requirements. The chosen candidate must comply with PHIA and FIPPA legislation to ensure confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the hospital, patients and their families, and staff members. The chosen candidate will be enrolled in a technical program related to building systems, such as engineering, engineering technology, power engineering, etc and will have demonstrated experience in computer usage. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an asset.
He/she will be subject to Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
Good physical and mental health required. Position may require climbing ladders, scaffolding, high-level platforms or going into confined spaces and enclosures. Manual dexterity and physically able to carry and move loads up to 34 kg.
The chosen candidate may also be requested to participate in other departmental functions as directed by the Asst. Director, should he feel such participation would be beneficial to the department and/or to the candidate.
The position also requires Microsoft Office product knowledge along with basic Autodesk (AutoCAD) skills being a valuable asset.
Pay: $31,200 @ 40hrs/week including full benefits with pay scale revisited at 3 months.
