Environmental Project Managers – Downstream
Work Location: Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prarie, Saskatoon and Winnipeg
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The successful incumbent will offer expertise and support on a variety of assessment, reclamation related activities. Responsibilities will include:
• Completing Reclamation Certificate Applications, including historical information review, landowner interview, application writing, package compilation, peer review, and application status tracking.
• Conducting and coordinating Detailed Site Assessments for oil and gas wellsites, facilities and pipelines across Alberta, including field planning, communicating with operations and landowners, report writing, peer review, and project status tracking.
• Completing Scopes of Work including historical information review, obtaining subcontractor estimates, cost estimate preparation, report writing, peer review, and project status tracking.
• Managing a vegetation/groundwater monitoring program including database management, coordinating field activities, report writing, peer review, and site status tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor-level degree or diploma in soil science and/or natural sciences, P.Ag.;
• Five years of related work experience in Alberta;
• Detail oriented with strong administrative and time management skills;
• Knowledge of soil classification and taxonomy;
• Proven report writing skills;
• Proven experience in downstream contaminated sites;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently;
• Ability to work in both field and office environments;
