The Role of the Information Technology Division
At Safeway, the Information Technology Division is a key business partner that plays a critical role in keeping the company at the position of industry leadership. The Safeway Experience

You will design and make enhancements using the current technologies Safeway employs. This will involve identifying the needs of the user community and translating them into software solutions. Qualifications
We are currently looking for highly motivated team oriented individuals who enjoy challenging work in a variety of environments. In addition to strong technical ability, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines is essential. The successful candidate will have a Degree in Computer Science or a Diploma from the CA/P or IST programs. A strong working knowledge in the following technologies is an asset:· SQL· Java· Unix· COBOL· JavaScript· XML· HTML· Perl· Rational Unified Process
Previous work experience including a coop position is also an asset.
