Account Coordinator (Edmonton, AB)

The Account Coordinator II supports a portfolio of Priority Accounts in the achievement of business development and growth objectives by providing advanced sales process and account management support.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Coordinates and provides support to Priority Account teams with account management - drives process.

 

·         Drive and maintains account plans and drives quarterly review process.

 

·         Co-leads, coordinates and participates in account team meetings, acting as the central point of contact for account team(s) to ensure meetings are efficient and productive for team members.

 

·         Drives and maintains a comprehensive relationship matrix and relationship action plan & calendar.

 

·         Ensures sales activity and key contact information, including Board Members, are current and active in STARS and Maximizer (i.e. CRM purposes)

 

·         Active follow up on action items by tracking progress against deadlines and regular follow up/contact with account team members.

 

·         Provides strategic account knowledge and intelligence to account team(s) - i.e. press releases, client industry information, competitor intelligence, collaterals, research and business analysis.

 

·         Proactively tracks and reports account team results through the use of account management tools.

 

·         Develops strong industry knowledge and expertise by attending association, industry and industry team meetings as well as reviewing relevant industry publications and participating in industry learning opportunities

 

·         Key facilitator of communication among account team members and integrates information into a central knowledge repository.

 

·         Drives account reporting requirements for the account team including liaising globally as required.

Qualifications:

 

·         A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

 

·         Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience; previous sales, marketing or project management experience is desirable

 

·         Demonstrates intermediate to high understanding and application of principles and practices of account management, sales, marketing and business development.

 

·         Strong organizational skills and a very high attention to detail.

 

·         Excellent written, verbal, oral and presentation skills.

 

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

 

·         Proactive and anticipatory in approach and style.

 

·         Self confident and assured (comfortable 'pushing back' when appropriate and necessary).

 

·         Ability to work with all levels of management - and use discretion and adapt style and approach accordingly.

 

·         Analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.

 

·         Effectively interact with others to obtain required actions.

 

·         Strong team player - with ability work independently and autonomously with little direction and guidance.

 

·         Project management skills.

 

·         Strong people orientation (ie. a "people person")
