The Main Street Project is Now Hiring:Permanent Part-Time MAINSTAY CORDANATORS
Pay: $17.05/hr. then $17.55 April 1st
Day shift and Evenings shift
Main Street Project has openings for a permanent day and Evening part-time Mainstay Coordinator to work 16 hours per week/plus statutory holidays at its Mainstay Residence, a 34 bed supportive housing program.

Duties:
· Conducts admission/intake with clients approved for Mainstay residency and enters required information in client file and the ‘client tracking system’ as a ‘Master’
· Provides security, support, supervision and assistance to male and female residents who possess a varied range of needs.
· Complete room checks and ensures and/or assists residents to maintain a clean environment (rooms and assigned household chores).
· Enforces house rules and regulations.
· Assists residents with their medication.
· Documents significant occurrences in the daily log and resident files.
· Interaction with residents to establish positive relationships and to be available to them when necessary.
· Work with other staff to ensure client support.
· Ensures that meals are served at appointed times and orderly cleanup afterwards.
Qualifications:
· Certificate (2 year) in the field of human services, e.g., addictions counselling, and a minimum of two (2) years related experience, or other equivalent combinations of education and experience
· Grade 12 or equivalent (post-secondary education or training as asset)
· Knowledge of the effects of poverty and our community’s strengths and problems are essential
· First Aid, CPR, basic counselling skills, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention are required
· Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written, and computer literacy
