Maintenance Technician

Our client is a leading global provider of products for industrial applications.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this permanent full-time position is responsible for completing maintenance and project tasks alone or with other staff or contractors in a safe and proper manner.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

·         Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery

·         Providing assistance in the development of the Preventive Maintenance Plan

·         To ensure safe work practices are followed

·         To ensure maximum equipment availability to production

·         To minimize costs for plant maintenance and capital projects

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 diploma plus mechanical trade qualification (electrical)
• Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance (electrical) experience
• High knowledge and demonstrated techniques of using maintenance tools, repairing machinery, providing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and problem diagnosis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in a fast paced team environment and flexible to work various shifts
• Possess basic skills in machining metal, welding and fabricating
•  Available for overtime if required
