Previous sales experience is an asset, but it is not necessary to have vehicle sales experience if you can demonstrate a past of working with commercial clients in a significant way. You do need to be a sharp thinker, highly organized and make a significant amount of cold calls in person and over the phone. You need to have the ability to work on your own and be self motivated to succeed without the fear of rejection.
