Community Networks Inc., the provider of the eFirehose High Speed Wireless Internet, is currently expanding and seeking a full-time Tier 3 Customer Service/Network Operations Representative to work in our Winnipeg customer care centre.

On a day to day basis you will focus on responding to customer inquiries and concerns providing each client with efficient, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable service during the handling and resolving of customer inquiries and trouble related calls.
On a secondary basis you will also act as a resource to engineers in the Network Operations Centre and as a backup to them.
Applicants must:
Have a great attitude and a sense of humour;
Be self motivated and able to work unsupervised;
Have the ability to talk to non-technical people in a way they can understand;
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Possess moderate to advanced computer skills with PC or Macs;
Be interested in the technology industry;
Have an aptitude for solving challenging problems and finding unique solutions;
Be willing to travel if required for specialized training;
Have a post secondary education in a networking related field and/or equivalent experience;
This job offers unique work hours and being part of a company where you are not just an employee amongst hundreds.
Typical work hours are 2pm-10pm M-F. As a support to network operations you will be expected to be on emergency on-call 1 week out of 4 on a rotation with other technicians.
In the long term, this position may offer opportunities for growth into ISP Network Operations.
The starting salary is $32,000/yr with 2 annual salary reviews and a benefits package. Some of the benefits include a health spending account, Internet service, company phone and your own office.
This role requires a passion for computers and the Internet and a charismatic approach to customer service. Although customer support is a big part of this role, this is not a large scale call center. It is a very unique work environment where you can be a big part of what we do here.
