BDO Canada LLP Aboriginal Financial Services Accounting Support

Provide accounting support to file managers, accountants, and partners on assigned files

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a minimum of two years post secondary diploma in accounting;
  • Minimum Two years experience in financial statement production according to GAAP;
  • Accounts Payable including: invoice processing, vendor maintenance, purchase orders, payment processing, etc;
  • Accounts Receivable consisting of: invoice processing, deposit preparation, customer maintenance, etc;
  • Payroll; collect timesheets and prepare and submit payroll, maintaining employee info in Ceridian for issuing ROE’s;
  • Reconciliations such as Bank, A/P, A/R to subledgers;
  • Experience in working with Sage/Acc Pac and/or equivalent accounting software programs;
  • Experience with preparing cashflows;
  • Experience in working with MS Word; Excel; and other computer programs;
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a team of professionals;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Attention to detail, along with strong problem solving skills;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills;
  • Experience in working with First Nations would be considered an asset
  • Enrolment in CPA Program would be considered an asset

Salary will be commensurate on experience and abilities.
