Account Executive

The Account Executive will be responsible for generating revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification and closing sales.  He or she will provide a high level of customer service to any potential prospect and clients.  The Account Executive will have excellent verbal and written communications.  Integrity, vision, professionalism and passion are key components of this position.


Job Duties

·         Identify market potential by qualifying leads

·         Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentations, understanding prospect requirements

·         Closing prospects by building rapport with potential clients; explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections and preparing contracts

·         Expand sales with existing accounts by cross selling other products and services

·         Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and services

·         Recommend new products and services

·         Cold-call prospects with leads that are generated by external sources.

·         Collaborate with other departments, as needed, to determine necessary strategic marketing approaches

·         Maintain and expand the database of prospects

·         Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events

·         Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls

·         Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position

·         Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner

·         Manage collection of receivables from existing clients

·         Perform other duties as assigned



·         University or college degree in or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

·         Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience within a business development team

·         Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management

·         Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers

·         Strong knowledge of selling principles, methods, practices, and techniques

·         Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills

·         Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with people.

·         Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills

·         Excellent listening skills

·         Strong written communication skills

·         Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm

·         Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures

·         Ability to occasionally travel and attend events

·         Ability to work individually and as part of a team

·         High level of integrity and work ethic

·         Experience with customer relationship management software


Working Conditions

  •  Some travel may be required.
  •  Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  •  Manual dexterity required to use laptop and peripherals.
  •  Overtime as required.
