Manager, Crop Production

Reporting to the Director of Operations, as a leader within the company, the Manager, Crop Production will utilize his/her horticultural, organizational and leadership skills to deliver maximum crop yield and quality results cost effectively in order to meet the company’s business and supply objectives.



Responsible for all aspects of crop production including, but not limited to: developing planting schedules, selecting varieties, managing harvesting and inventorying, pest and disease identification and control, supply purchasing, maintenance of production records and reporting, enforcing adherence to Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations as well as other relevant regulations.


Supervise maintenance of all production equipment and associated infrastructure.


Preparation of staff work schedules.


Promote continuous improvement through research into new technologies, best practices and subsequent implementation.


Assist in the development of production budgets and, in conjunction with the senior leadership team, establish short and long term budgetary priorities.


Ensure regulated sanitation standards are maintained and establish performance and productivity standards for associated production staff.


Oversee production staff and participate in hiring of such staff.


Create and foster a culture of safety, performance and quality in production.


Represent the company as required in sales transactions and other venues.





Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics or equivalent


3+ years’ experience managing production in a highly regulated and/or commercial scale environment


Demonstrated financial and budgetary acumen


Exceptional problem solving and analytical capabilities


Sound leadership, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills


An entrepreneurial mindset


The ability to obtain A/RPIC status per MMPR regulations





Technologically innovative, strategically oriented, economically literate


Knowledge of the Cannabis plant and its genetics
