Clinical Team Leader

Native Women’s Transition Centre is searching for a creative, confident, positive thinking  individual to fill the new full-time Clinical Team Leader position with our organization that is a 24/7 residential safe house for Indigenous women and her children who have experienced victimization through interpersonal relationships and/or systemic neglect.  Under the supervision and direction of the Executive Director, the Clinical Team Leader will provide clinical supervision, education, and leadership to our multi-disciplinary team. This includes but is not limited to developing ongoing individual and group clinical supervision sessions for staff, developing and facilitating appropriate case management tools, interventions, skills and techniques designed to support Indigenous women to achieve change and growth and will ensure all supports and programing are facilitated in a manner that promotes self-awareness and encourages self-worth and self-determination with our residents. The Clinical Team Leader will also work in collaboration with NWTC staff and Executive Director to ensure, maintain and promote cultural proficiency within our programs, supports and services.


Qualifications & Experience Required:

●        Bachelor’s Degree in Social work or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience, and a minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in social service and clinical case management.

●        Strong working knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act.

●        Strong understanding and knowledge of the impact of historical trauma within the Indigenous community.

●        Ability to implement trauma informed case management supports and services.

●        Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous women who have been impacted by multiple systems such as the child welfare and justice system.

●        Experience incorporating Indigenous culture and traditional ways of healing in treatment models.

●        Extensive knowledge of community resources.

●        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.

●        Ability to work under stressful conditions.

●        Excellent computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office.

●        Strong team player with excellent leadership and organizational skills.

●        Independent, creative problem-solver.

●        CPR and First Aid Certifications or willing to obtain certification.

●        Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

●        Must Provide a Current Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check for Employment Consideration; and upon employment complete the Corrections Services Canada and Provincial Justice Security Clearance.


Salary based on experience and qualifications.
