Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist is a strategic and talented individual who will leverage social media to meet the company’s business and brand goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors, reviews, analyzes and makes changes to the company’s social media accounts
  • Responsible for B2C content for the company social media sites, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram etc.
  • Monitors and acknowledges all customer interaction
  • Conducts ‘influencer targeting’, which provides tracking and identification of the most influential community members in order to leverage such members to create brand awareness and builds knowledge of the company’s campaigns/events.
  • Hosts new users and answers any questions or directs them to appropriate support
  • Produces a monthly social insight & analysis report which analyzes the social media activity
  • Provides benchmarks and measures growth and success of the company’s social strategy efforts
  • Identifies emerging social conversations and trends and the social impact of the company’s campaigns/events
  • Network and crowd source on social media forums, posting marketing collateral (such as white paper, infographics, etc), driving online engagement for Clickback, increasing following base and building positive brand sentiment
  • Ideation, research and implementation of methods that improve organic search rankings from invested efforts on social media
  • Responsible for social media ad budgets


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-Secondary education in writing, marketing, advertising, communications or related field are desirable
  • 2 years of experience in communications with a strong focus on social networking activities
  • Candidates must have a thorough understanding of and experience using multiple social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Foursquare, Instagram and Pinterest and others
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing social media for marketing, lead generation, display advertising and paid campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results oriented team environment
  • Must have strong B2C writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge of SEO, SMM and SEM principles and current practices
  • Familiar with HTML web design is an asset
  • Must have above average skills with MS Office, HTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suite
