As a Parts Manager, we are counting on you to manage all aspects of an efficiently functioning, innovative parts business. This includes ensuring that we have the right parts in the right place at the right time to meet the needs of our customers; providing unparalleled customer service through a knowledgeable and motivated team; and supporting branch and corporate goals. This position directly impacts our revenue, profitability, and customer experience goals and is fundamental to our continued success.

You will be responsible to:

* Manage parts inventory cost effectively while minimizing stock outs

* Recommend, develop and manage annual and special sales, events, and sale pricing

* Undertake product merchandising to best drive sales

* Prepare a departmental budget and achieve goals while staying on budget

* Work collaboratively with other departments, branches and managers to seek out best practice and leverage knowledge

* Support a skilled, innovative, and motivated parts team through coaching, goals and direction, communication and vision

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and act in compliance with all legislation, including Health and Safety laws, Workers Compensation procedures and Employment Standards legislation

* Stay current on product knowledge and best practices in the field and train staff

Required Skills:

We are looking for someone with:

* At least 2 years related experience in a busy parts department

* Familiarity with parts ordering, vendor management, transfer procedures, returns, warranty processes

* Experience with computerized inventory systems, inventory management practices and procedures, metrics

* Proven business capabilities, related to managing revenue and expense, maximizing inventory accuracy and velocity, and sales and marketing

* At least 3 years managerial experience with more than 3 staff

* Moderate to advanced skills in excel and familiarity with MS Office products

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Advanced customer service skills

Required Experience:

You will need to have:

* Completed high school or received equivalent GED

* A business degree/diploma or a combination of education and experience

* Red Seal Certificate (Parts) would be considered an asset
